The government of Jordan has announced that this year's Independence Day public holiday will be observed on Thursday, May 25, 2006.
As such the date will be a public holiday for government and official departments.
Though the official date of the Independence Day public holiday is May 25, the Jordanian government often moves mid-week public holidays to the nearest weekend (25-Apr-2006), and therefore a final confirmation of the date of Jordanian public holiday is always useful.
