Kenya's President, Mwai Kibaki, declared this coming Friday, April 21, 2006, as a one-off public holiday and national prayer day following the recent plane crash in Marsabit where 14 people died.
The measure, taken in accordance with The Public Holidays Act (Cap. 110), was signed in Gazette Notice 2811, by the Secretary to the Cabinet and Head of Public Service, F. K. Muthaura.
