Kuwaiti Government sources have said that the upcoming Eid Al-Adha holidays will total nine days, including two weekends (weekends in Kuwait are Thursdays and Fridays).
The holiday starts officially on Arafat day, which may fall on Dec 30, followed by three days of Eid (Dec 31, Jan 1 and 2, 2007). Sources said the Civil Service Commission will prepare a memo for the Cabinet to consider Wed Jan 3 as an official holiday instead of the Jan 1 New Year holiday.
So the holiday run from Thu Dec 28, 2006 to Fri Jan 6, 2007 and offices will be open for work on Sat Jan 7, 2007.
