Kuwait's Legal and Legislative Committee approved a proposal that calls for declaring the last 10 days of the month of Ramadan a public holiday for schools.
To become effective, the proposal must be approved by National Assembly, which is due to reconvene on October 30, and then accepted by the government, which has, in the past always rejected this proposal and similar ones aimed at the public sector.
