After an emergency session gathered in the Kyrgyz parliament it was announced that opposition deputies were ready to vote for a new Constitution draft as a counterbalance of the amendments proposed by the president of Kyrgyzstan yesterday.
These events may have a direct impact, in the coming months, on the name of, or even continuation of, the 7th of November as a public holiday in Kyrgyzstan. See the Additional Information section, below, for more details.
