The Lebanese Government has declared three days of national mourning, starting from 22 November 2006, to mark the assasination of Minister Pierre Gemayal, who was shot dead on the streets of Beirut.
As a consequence, all institutions, including Banks, the Beirut Stock Exchange, and the Central Bank of Lebanon will remain closed on November 23, 2006. It has not ye been declared if market entities will also remain closed on November 24.
