The government of Papua New Guinea has gazetted the list of official Papua New Guinea (PNG) public holidays for the calendar year 2007.
The aforementioned announcement of official Papua New Guinea public holidays for the calendar year 2007 confirms the date of the 2007 Queen's Birthday public holiday, and as usual (07-Jul-2003 and 15-Aug-2000) announces day in lieu public holidays, if applicable.
The Remembrance Day public holiday was moved from July 23 to April 25, 2 years ago (20-Sep-2004), in a move that was meant to be permanent, but which has proved unpopular, is again on July 23, as was the case last year (01-Oct-2005).
