Malacañang did not declare Oct. 31 and Nov. 2 as holidays as it does each year, and Presidential Spokesman Ignacio Bunye said the public should not to expect the Palace to change its mind.
Mr. Bunye reiterated that November 1 is a regular holiday but that October 31 and November 2, are not.
In the past, Malacañang usually declared October 31 and November 2 as public holidays to give people a few days to go back to their hometowns, as was done in 2001 (10-Oct-2001), 2002 (18-Oct-2002), and 2003 (14-Oct-2003).
