In Proclamation 1169, which was signed by the President Nov. 10, President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo has declared November 30, 2006, Bonifacio Day (Thursday), as a regular working day this year. Instead, December 1, 2006, a Friday, will be a non-working holiday.
Under the same proclamation, Tuesday, December 26, 2006 , was declared a special holiday "to give an opportunity for travel to those who have to return home or to their workplaces after their Christmas visits".
Proclamation 1169 does, however point out that the activities and celebration related to Bonifacio Day shall remain to be observed on Nov. 30, 2006.
The date of the Bonifacio Day public holiday regularly gets moved around (24-Nov-2005 and 11-Nov-2004).
