The Executive Yuan has announced that October 9, 2006 is a public holiday and October 14, 2006 (Saturday) a normal business day in Taiwan. This is to allow an extended period of public holiday.
The aforementioned announcement made by the Central Personnel Administration (CPA) means that there will be five days of consecutive public holidays in Taiwan, from October 6-10, 2006.
