Uruguay November 3-4 Public Holidays

(Posted on Monday, October 16, 2006)

Source: Montevideo Portal

According to the latest developments, the previously discussed general holiday on November 3 and 4 (see the news item of October 10, below) will be restricted to those working in the area of Montevideo directly affected by the Summit.

That area is bounded by the streets and avenues: Andes, Uruguay, Florida, Soriano, Ituzaingó and Rincón, including La Plaza Independencia and the first block of La Avenida 18 de Julio.

Recall that November 2 will remain fixed this year, due to a change in the Uruguayan public holidays law a few years ago (02-Nov-2001).
