The Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan announced that it had replaced the 2 non-working days of the weekend of December 29-30, 2007, by Thursday and Friday, January 3-4, 2008.
As a result, Azeris will have 7 consecutive days off, from Monday December 31, 2007 to Sunday, January 6, 2008, inclusively.
This lengthening of the new year holidays is a recurrent feature of Azerbaijani public holidays (20-Dec-2006).
