Bénin Declares December 20 Public Holiday

The government of Bénin has declared Thursday, December 20, 2007, as a paid non-working public holiday (la journée du 20 décembre 2007 est déclarée chômée et payée sur toute l’étendue du territoire national).

The aforementioned declaration of Monday, May 28, 2007, as a paid non-working public holiday, was made as part of the communique of the Conseil des ministres du Bénin numéro : 35/PR/SGG/Com on account of the upcoming Fête de la Tabaski (Feast of Sacrifice or Eid al Adha).

The communique of the Council of Ministers of the Bénin also declares that work will stop at 2pm on Wednesday, December 19, 2007, after a continuous workday (ie. no lunch break).
