Bhutan will hold its first ever general elections in February and March 2008, which means that Bhutan will soon be declaring 2 one-off public holidays, one in February 2008 and one in March 2008.
This follows the primary round of mock elections held earlier this year, also declared a public holiday (27-May-2007), and the announcement by the Election Commission of Bhutan (ECB) that next year's parliamentary elections would occur on a weekday public holiday (02-May-2007).
