(Posted on Sunday, February 4, 2007)

Source: TV NZ

East Timor will hold presidential elections on April 9.

The date is not expected to be declared a public holiday, as such a contingency is not listed in the recent and exhaustive "Law No. 10/2005 on Public Holidays and Official Commemorative Dates" (12-Aug-2005).
