The government of Guyana has announced that the upcoming Youman Nabi, birth anniversary of the Prophet, public holiday, would be commemorated on Sunday, April 1, 2007.
As usual (01-Apr-2006), the aforementioned announcement comes shortly after the announcement by Guyana's Central Islamic Organisation (CIOG.) that the Muslim month of Rabiul-Awal had begun yesterday.
As is often the case (01-Apr-2006 and 12-Apr-2005) the date announced in Guyana for the birth anniversary of the Prophet public holiday, is one day later than in the Middle East.
