It is reported that Honduras' President, Manuel Zelaya, is still hesitating as to whether to declare the first 3 days of Easter week as public sector holidays, and if so, how to compensate for these 3 extra public sector holidays.
In 2006, the 3 extra days of public sector holidays were compensated by declaring 3 working Saturdays (04-Apr-2006).
In 2005, the same 3 extra public sector holidays were compensated by cancelling the April 14, October 12 and October 21 public holidays for government workers (24-Feb-2005).
