Macau's Chief Executive has declared a one-off public holiday, "The fourth day of the Lunar New Year", on Wednesday, February 21st, 2007.
This announcement, following a trend started a few years ago (21-May-2004 and 16-Jan-2006), was made under the purview of the "Decree Law No. 60/2000 on Public Holidays", and is presumably meant to compensate the fact that the first day of the annual Lunar New Year's Day public holiday for 2007, falls on a weekend, and will allow for a 4th day extension to the annual, 3-day, Lunar New Year public holiday.
This announcement amends the official list of 2007 Macau public holidays, published last summer (27-Jul-2006).
