Following today's Conseil des Ministres chaired by President Marc Ravalomanana, the official list of 2007 public holidays in Madagascar was announced.
In its Article 1, the aforementioned "décret fixant la liste des jours fériés et des « jours ponts » au titre de l’année 2007" generally follows the pattern of previous years' official public holidays lists in Madagascar (03-Jan-2006).
However the decree goes on to a second and a third article, which declare Friday, January 19, 2007, as a one-off public holiday for the upcoming Presidential Inauguration, and 2 one-off bridge public holidays, respectively.
