The theme for National Day has been declared, as Proud to be Dhivehin, and will be printed on all official correspondences and Government documents for a period of one-year starting from this year’s National Day, 1st of Rabeeul Awwal of the Hijri Calendar, which falls on Tuesday, 20 March 2007.
The Maldives' National Day public holiday, and some others, are determined based on the Islamic calendar.
