The government has announced that the public holiday for the Prophet's Birthday (Eid Milad ul Nabi), based on the Islamic calendar's 12th day of Rabi-ul-Awal, will be observed on Sunday April 1st 2007.
This was done in pursuance of the announcement of the Ruet-e-Hilal Committee.
