The management of several government and private offices have announced a public holiday on Monday, September 10, 2007, amid fears of violent clashes between law enforcers and opposition workers as the government is planning to arrest returning political exile Shahbaz Sharif, at the airport, as he arrives from Saudi Arabia.
In a related development, authorities in Islamabad's historic twin city of Rawalpindi have also declared a public holiday on Monday.
