The Ministry of the Interior of Panama has published the Decreto Ejecutivo Nº 551 which declares a half-day public sector holiday, beginning at noon, on Friday, November 2nd, 2007.
The decree only applies to all national and municipal public servants (el cierre en todo el territorio nacional, de las oficinas públicas nacionales y municipales), and is probably meant to compensate, partially, the fact that this year, the annual November 3rd public holiday falls on a weekend.
