Philippines Declares Public Holiday For Mid-Term Elections

Today, the Philippines President, through Proclamation 1279, has declared Monday, May 14, 2007, mid-term Election Day, as a non-working holiday throughout the country.

A similar electoral public holiday was declared on the occasion of the last term elections (06-May-2004).
