The Philippine Information Agency (PIA) confirmed that June 11, November 2 and December 24 would be special public holidays, but that that Tuesday, June 12, would be regular working day nationwide.
The original announcement had been made in Proclamation No. 1211 (19-Jan-2007), signed in Manila on January 10th, by President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo (PGMA) and declared Saturday April 7, Monday June 11, Friday November 2 and Monday December 24, 2007, as special non-working public holidays.
