International Womens' Day: The Government of the Russian Federation has not made any decisions about the traditional shift of a workday to the weekend.
Therefore, even though the 8th of March falls on a Thursday this year. Friday, the 9th of March is going to be a regular workday.
This announcement confirms last year's (11-Nov-2006) RF Government Resolution No. 661 of November 11, 2006, which specified the official public holidays and bridge holidays in Russia for 2007.
