Minister of Home Affairs Prince Gabheni has declared Saturday, January 6, 2007, a public holiday on the occasion of the Incwala Ceremony.
January 6, 2007, is the date that acting Ludzidzini Governor Timothy Velabo Mthethwa had been reported to have announced and is also the same date as we have been predicting all year-long (31-Dec-2006).
Answering questions, he pointed out that this Saturday public holiday would not be extended to any other day, but he added that if the dancing of the Incwala Ceremony had been on Sunday, then Monday would have been a public holiday.
