A travel website has posted the date of September 8 for the 2007 Umhlanga, or Reed Dance. However, no official announcement has yet been made and the semi-official Swazi Observer newspaper, in a recent article, hinted that it might be in August.
Note that, based on historical data from 1999-2006, we are currently predicting the Umhlanga public holiday (not the same as the ceremony) for Monday September 3, 2007.
