The government of Thailand's cabinet officially declared a one-off public holiday on Monday, August 20, 2007.
This follows a recent proposal to that effect by Thailand's Prime Minister (04-Aug-2007).
The Finance Ministry and the Bank of Thailand will meet later to decide whether markets and banks will remain open on that day.
