The UAE's the Ministry of Governmental Sector Development has announced that federal and local government departments and institutions will remain closed on Sunday (January 21, 2007) to mark the new Hijri Year.
In a separate announcement, the UAE's Ministry of Labour announced that private sector firms and institutions will remain closed on Saturday (January 20) to mark the occasion, said a circular issued by the Ministry of Labour.
