UAE Announces Eid al-Adha Public Holiday Dates

(Posted on Tuesday, December 11, 2007)

Source: Arabian Business

All ministries and public departments of the UAE will remain closed for five days, from Tuesday, December 18, to Saturday, December 22, to mark Eid Al Adha, while the private sector will get 3 days off, also beginning on December 18.

The first day of the announced public holidays period corresponds to Arafat Waqfa day.

Last year (26-Dec-2006), the private sector did get the same number of days of public holidays as the private sector, but that was due to the conjunction of the Eid al-Adha, and the Gregorian New Year.
