Despite its earlier denials, the government of Uganda has now announced that it had declared Thursday and Friday, November 22-23, 2007, as one-off public holidays to coincide with the beginning of the CHOGM (Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting).
This announcement comes on the heels of the recent government denial that such a holiday would be declared (04-Oct-2007).
