President Islam Karimov signed the resolution "On transferring the working day from Monday December 31, 2007 onto a Saturday December 29, 2007", which makes Monday, December 31, 2007, a public holiday.

In exchange for this additional, one-off public holiday, as was done in the past (05-Dec-2005), the previous Saturday, December 29, will be a regular working day.
