The spokesman for the Cabinet of Ministers, Akif Ali, has announced that the day of Monday, September 29, 2008, had been declared a one-off bridge public holiday, to link the weekend to the Ramazam Bayram (End of Ramadan) public holiday.
This announcement is as we had surmised would happen (28-Aug-2008). However, as is usual in Azerbaijan, in compensation, Saturday, September 27, 2008 has been declared a regular working day.
