The Spokesman for Azerbaijan's Cabinet of Ministers, Akif Ali, confirmed that Monday, June 16, 2008. would be a non-working public holiday throughout Azerbaijan.
Mr. Ali went on to say that, in line with the terms of the 2006 public holidays reform (08-Dec-2006), this day in lieu public holiday was given due to the fact that the National Day Of Salvation public holiday, which occurs annually on June 15, would fall on a Sunday in 2008.
