Following information received by leading Muslim scholars, Bangladesh's President, Iajuddin Ahmed, announced that the Eid-ul-Azha (Feast of Sacrifice) festival would occur on Tuesday, December 9, 2008, the middle day of the previously announced 3-day public holiday.
Bangladesh's financial sector, for its part has been on holidays since last weekend (01-Dec-2008).
