Late last night, Bolivia's Minister of Labour declared Monday, November 3, 2008, as a one-off public holiday, due to the fact that November 2nd falls on a Sunday in 2008.
Although this announcement was expected, there is always a possibility that a new minister might decide to interpret differently the 3 somewhat contradictory decrees that, over the years, have tinkered with the November 1 and 2 public holidays; Decreto Supremo 21060 (August 29, 1985), Decreto Supremo 22352 (October 27, 1989), and Decreto Supremo 27185 (September 22, 2003).
