The State Council of China has released the official list of 2009 public holidays, including the list of working Saturdays and Sundays that compensate for some of the bridge public holidays and spring and fall Golden Weeks.
Of particular note is the 8-day October public holiday that combines the National Day Golden Week and the Mid-Autumn Festival, the longest public holidays period since China introduced the Golden Week holiday in 2000.
