Bali's Governor Dewa Beratha has issued a decree formally declaring Wednesday, July 9, 2008, as a holiday in connection with the island-wide election of Bali's next governor.
In Indonesia, the date of elections is often declared a public holiday (30-Mar-2004 and 29-May-1999).
