The cabinet has confirmed that Jordan, on Wednesday, July 30, 2008, will mark the anniversary of Al Israa wal Miraaj (the nocturnal journey and heavenly ascension of the Prophet Mohammad).
However, as per a February 2006 decision, effective in 2007, this is no longer a non-working public holiday.
