Macau's Chief Executive has declared a one-off, half-day, public holiday for the afternoon of Thursday, December 31, 2009.

This announcement, following a trend started a couple of years ago (14-Jul-2006 and 13-Mar-2007), was made under the purview of the "Decree Law No. 60/2000 on Public Holidays".
