Following the death, earlier today, of former President Ibrahim Nasir, the current President of the Maldives has declared a public holiday for tomorrow, Sunday, November 23, 2008, as well as 7 days of national mourning.
Recall that, in the Maldives, weekends are Fridays and Saturdays, and that Sundays are usually normal working days.
