In a separate announcement, Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser al Bakri, Oman's minister of manpower, announced that private sector companies and establishments would close for the Eid Al Adha public holidays, from Monday, December 8, until Thursday, December 11, 2008. But, noting that Friday is the weekly day off for the private sector in Oman, he went on to clarify that the private sector workers would get back to work on Saturday, December 13, 2008, only.
