In accordance with the provisions of Section 64(1) of the Banking and Financial Institutions Act No 5 of 2006, the Bank of Tanzania (BoT) announced earlier today that tomorrow, Tuesday, July 1st, 2008, would be a banking holiday, and that as such, all banks and financial institutions will remain closed on that day even though the day is not a public holiday.
