Earlier today, Deputy Spokeswoman, Wirinthira Nathongborcharas, announced that Thailand's caretaker Cabinet had declared Friday, January 2, 2009, as a one-off bridge public holiday.
As Wednesday, December 31, is already an annual public holiday in Thailand, the Cabinet decision means that Thailand will be on public holidays for 5 consecutive days, from Wednesday, December 31, 2008, until Sunday, January 4, 2009, inclusively.
