The Government Information Services (GIS) of the Turks and Caicos Islands has released its official list of public holidays for the calendar year 2009.
Interestingly, this list of the 2009 official public holidays in the Turks and Caicos Islands, does not list any day in lieu to compensate the fact that the Boxing Day public holiday will fall on a weekend in 2009, though it does move the observance of the International Human Rights Day public holiday from Saturday, October 24, to Friday, October 23, 2009.
Last year's omission of the September, National Youth Day public holiday from the official public holidays announcement (30-Sep-2007) was not repeated this year.
