According to the Islamic Crescents Monitoring Project., astronomical calculations have predicted that Saturday, November 29, 2008, will be the first day of 'Zil Hijja', which implies that the Eid al-Adha Muslim festival day will be on Monday, December 8, 2008.
Note, however, that the 3-day public holiday (5-day for the public service) associated with the Eid al-Adha in the UAE, begins on Arafat Day, the day before Eid al-Adha.
