A circular issued today by Minister of Labour Saqr Ghobash, announced that the private sector will join ministries, public departments and institutions in enjoying a long weekend, with Thursday, March 20, 2008, being declared a public holiday for the public and private sector to mark the birthday of the Prophet Mohammed.
The announcement for the public sector had been issued earlier by Khalifa Bekhit Al Flasi, state minister and head of the Civil Service Council.
