Earlier today, Ukraine's President, Viktor Yushchenko, signed a decree establishing the Day of the Orthodox Baptism of Kyiv Rus, as an annual national holiday, to be celebrated from this year onward, on July 28.
This holiday will be celebrated in memory of Saint Prince Volodymyr, who baptized the Kyiv Rus, bringing Christianity to the Ukraine.
