Ukraine Announces January Bank And Public Holidays

Ukraine's central bank, the National Bank of the Ukraine (NBU), has announced a bank holiday from January 1-3, 2009. During that period, all commercial banks in the Ukraine will be closed.

In compensation, on Sunday, January 4, 2009, all banks in the Ukraine will be open as per weekday schedules, a departure from the announcement, earlier this month (10-Dec-2008) of the January 2009 extended public holidays..
